California Campfire Permits
For California visits, anywhere outside of a designated campground and outside of a camper, a California Campfire Permit is needed for any public land. Click here to get your online California Campfire Permit and have it accessible on your smart phone while at the claim.

Meet location:
Union Flat Camp Ground, Reserved spots #5 and #6. These spots are large and can hold a few families in each (tent camping and dry camping only).
Possible mine tour on Sunday, August 11.

Meet location:
Frosty in Portola: 281 W Sierra Ave, Portola, CA 96122.
The group will be traveling to the claim together, leaving promptly at 9:00 am.
What’s needed:

Gold getting and mining equipment (including buckets and classifier, gold pans, and sluice box)
